Tea tree oil is an essential oil extracted by distillation from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a spontaneous tree originating in eastern Australia also known as the Tea tree.

The properties of Tea tree oil.

  • Natural antiseptic
    By thining one or two drops of tea tree oil in water you can disinfect small wounds using a cotton swab.
  • Acne 
    Due to the antibacterial properties and the astringent power it is used to treat skin rashes such as pimples and papules. Apply directly a drop of diluted Melaleuca oil on the acneic outbreak!
  • Balsamic and expectorant
    In case of rhinitis, bronchitis and respiratory disorders disperse 20 drops of essential oil in hot water to disinfect and free the airways.
  • Purifying 
    It contains peptides and glycolic acid: substances that prevent the accumulation of impurities and facilitate their elimination.

It has not only a cosmetic application, try it also as:

  • Anti Mold
    Create your own Antimuffa in your home: In a container equipped with a spray, dilute 20 drops of tea tree oil in water and vapors on the affected area leaving it to act for at least 1-2 hours.
  • Pesticide
    Use this natural pesticide on your four-legged friends, protect them with a few drops of ticks, fleas and mushrooms.
  • Home Cleaning Disinfectant
    Dilute no less than 15/20 drops of this essential oil in water to effectively and naturally clean all the surfaces of the house or to disinfect the laundry, adding directly 10 drops of tea tree oil in the washing machine.

The oil of the tea tree has a pungent odor that can be attenuated by dilution in water or in a vegetable oil, or by adding an essential scented oil.

Remember to always keep tea tree oil in the dark and original packaging as it is, like all essential oils, particularly sensitive to light.
